what do you think is better sno seal or hot waxing?
By: emel60. on 10 Nov 10, 21:41:23
Hi mate! I'm soon to do another waxing and I have a question...When I did it last time, the wax left marks on the blade. I know that it can't? harm the blade but some peps wouldn't like it (I'm gonna do it for a friend)...Can I inlay, let's say, wrapping foil in it?
By: jdgriffis. on 09 Sep 10, 00:21:12
a double boiler will allow you to control the temp of the wax better? and minimize the risk of fire.

@killkill120 The sheath? not the "rod" hahaha

if you need bees wax? you can use toilet wax rings.

That sheath? for the fire steel is kinda cool but I think that pointy antler would jab into my sexy love handles.

@SkogKniv beast? i might have to try it
By: SkogKniv. on 26 Jan 10, 20:48:43
Completely waterproof (should be self evident) also the knife will not cut through the welts or sides very easily. It makes? a strong pocket for the knife, this means no slipping out.

By: butchen1062. on 26 Jan 10, 06:51:02

I have not had that happen yet, and have done plenty of bees wax projects? right on stove top. Perhaps I have not reached that temp. Good thing I guess.
By: natara923. on 23 Jan 10, 03:40:18
Good vid! Just want to add that beeswax has a flash point of 400F degrees and could be very dangerous if you place the pan directly on flame or burner as demonstrated. Use extreme caution and keep a fire extinguisher? handy and do it outdoors if possible.

By: SkogKniv. on 20 Jan 10, 17:26:17
Yes that is probably the safest way to do? it.

Good Video. One technique I've read is to double pan it with water. so you set your wax pan in boiling? water and it can never over heat.
