@FAWKORZOME it is Murray hair dressing Pomade. It is grease to put in hair? to make it stay where you put it with a comb. It is found in the 'ethnic hair products' section of WalMart.

@TheRaellz Well that was obvious to me. I think if pushed I could? craft a new axe handle, but it you wanted bomb proof, then the metal one would be the way to go, although I do think the wooden handled one would be more forgiving on your hands due tue less vibration in your hands over extended use.

@mercenaryrebel less weight, breaks and cannot be replaced with a? bush made handle.

@FAWKORZOME Palmaid, it's for hair. When I was an Eagle scout in the Boy Scouts, we used petroleum jelly and cotton balls.?

for a compass spend the coin and don't go cheap... I always recommend the Silva Ranger. works at night,? can set your declination. you can use the mirror to signal... has the two most common scales for distance. fluid filled so its smooth and wont stick....its go a lot of bang for your buck.

I use 5000 degree engine paint from? the discount auto store. I find that the BBQ High Temp paint does not hold up so well.

Dave, enjoying this series so far. Noticed you were looking at Neosporin, presumably for your med kit. Have you ever considered adding Crazy or Super Glue to the kit for small cuts etc.? I've found that using either is a good way to close a cut or cover abrasions. Kind of like a liquid bandage, but for much less the cost. A small tube takes little space, stops the bleeding, disinfects the wound,? and it's painless. I may be mistaken, but it seems to speed up the healing process also.

Wouldn't the steel handled axe be more reliable? As in, the handle won't break? Is the steel? better on the mexican one? Maybe I missed it in the video.

Great video. Just a tip about the penny, it? may be better to use older ones from before the 80's. Older cents are made of solid copper as opposed to the zinc ones made today and may stand up better in an outdoor enviornment
