roger that. well i tried it again but i think I over filled the reservoir and didn't put epoxy to seal it all in all so when i tried heating the gas to vapors at the bottom the whole thing went? up in flames. but in the madness i saw the small holes produce flames as well so i think it will work. thanks anyways

That could be the problem. A split wouldn't allow pressure to build up,? which is essential for this stove.
By: BCoutdoorsurvival. on 14 May 12, 06:02:32
that's both dangerous and unique. Don't hurt? yourself!
By: BCoutdoorsurvival. on 14 May 12, 06:01:36
NEVER hold this when it is lit. How did it "Blow up"? I need more info before I suggest? what is the problem.

I used a chainsaw to cut my? cans!!!
By: dogbone222. on 12 May 12, 03:13:52
another problem is i can't get it to start properly. the only diff thing i did was that i cut a vertical line in the can that would go inside than rather pinch it in. would? that be the problem or is it that I ain't putting enough fluid in

Don't know about reservior, I don't put any insulation though. If you do want to, people sometimes put fibreglass. Just? be careful when working with it!
By: dogbone222. on 11 May 12, 20:34:28
did you put a resevoir in your stove? i see people like to use? insulation but can i use cotton?

Make sure you use a penny pre dated 1982 (Full Copper). Any penny older than? 1982 is subject to melt due to the nickel content. Just FYI :-)

Strange. Try a bigger space and angling the jets out? to make more heat contact with the stove itself.
By: jakemhumphrey. on 06 May 12, 18:25:37
I'm using denatured alcohol. It's about 3/8" from the stove. ?

Hi there, a couple questions: 1) What fuel? are you using? 2) How close is your pot to the stove?
By: jakemhumphrey. on 05 May 12, 23:01:25
I made a few of these and I can't seem to get the design right. The best one I made burned for about 15 minutes on 1 oz of fuel, but it won't boil two cups of water. I guess? it isn't getting hot enough. Any suggestions? Thanks.
