Just moved with my family due to work, and i cant realy get out in? to the woods. Its just not the same as my old woodlands and it feals strange. Your movies has always helped me find that special fealing to get out there! And i wanted to thank you for that. Even tho i suspect that your videos never was attened for that reason, Greets from Sweden.

Ah, i thought it caught on too well to be pine. Il have to try it!? Heartwood from a fairly decently dried out tree should be able to easily catch a spark like that, but i havent managed to get it done that easily. Practice makes perfect i guess! It does, in a way, but probably not in the way you intend it. Swedish and Norwegian are very similar, that's how i know. When you write SkogKniv it sounds like two separate words put together, unlike Skogskniv, which is an actual compound word.

The wood in pine. Yes my name is Leif, no? I am not Swedish, I am of Norwegian heritage. My name is not just Swedish. Skog Kniv is just a nick name for the internet. In Norsk literal translation it is Forest Knife.

Nice video! Two questions, if you feel like answering. First of all, when your whittling down some shavings for the firesteal, what wood is that? Birch? And secondly, i saw someone calling you? Leif in the comments. Are you from Sweden originally? Your name is of course swedish, even if the proper grammar would be "Skogskniv" if you were aiming for Forester's Knife, or Forest-knife. (Instead of Forest. Knife.)

Agreed, O-1 is quite the awesome knife steel,? I use it constantly, easy to work with, takes an amazing edge and holds it well throughout most uses!

Fantastic video, fantastic places. It's great that You show them to viewers all around the world. Watching these videos is kinda painful, it so pulls out to? the woods, and so little opportunities to go there.

The? handle on that knife is awesome. Great colors. Looks like you found a spot in that forest where people were less than considerate, leaving trash around.
