I've foun' thet doin' possum on a Weber wif th' air throttled back an' th' possum not direckly on over th' coals wawks great. It's cooked through an' not burnt on th' outside. Of course, ignorance (of both southerners and the southern lifestyle) is what so often drives the humor behind these "redneck" joke videos. The viewers are in reality often laughing at goofy-looking yankees acting foolish, not actual southerners. And, based on these videos, it's fairly obviously ignorance, goofy-looking, and acting foolish are all quite natural for some yankees.
